Who were the Titans?
Mount Olympus
The Titans were the six sons and six daughters (12 children) of Gaia and Uranus (Mother Earth and the Night Sky). The Titans were the first gods and goddesses, and they were big, strong, and powerful giants. They lived on Mount Olympus, and they were the generation before the Olympians. Rhea and Cronus were the birthparents to the majority of the Olympians.
Who were the most important Titans, and why were they so well known?

Rhea and Cronus were the two most important Titans. Rhea and Cronus were very important because they were the birthparents to majority of the Olympian gods and goddesses. Without them, the Olympians would have not been introduced to the world. Also, the Ancient Greeks based their religion and way of life off of the Olympians. Without the Titans, the Greeks would have never had a base to their religion.
